An Agent-based Model of Church Polarization

This project is part of the Senior Project developed by Katelin Jandris and Ryan Klein in the Fall of 2025 and Spring of 2026 at Calvin University, under the supervision of Dr. Eric Araújo.

The model explores how social influence and individual preferences contribute to the polarization of church communities over time. By simulating interactions among agents with varying beliefs and tendencies, the model aims to shed light on the mechanisms driving polarization and potential strategies for fostering unity within religious groups.
